Rental Terms & Conditions
Driver:
Only the drivers listed in the rental agreement are authorized to drive the rented vehicle. The minimum age limit is 23 years for the use of vehicles in categories B, BA, C, CA and 25 years for the remaining vehicle categories. s.The maximum age limit is 72 years.
Driving License:
A valid driving license for the Greek territory and the EU is required, which must have been issued at least 1 year prior to the rental start date. For countries outside the European Union, the driver must also hold an international driving license which must be accompanied by the original national driving license.
Identification Documents:
In addition to the driving license, the driver and any additional drivers must present an identification document, such as a passport or identity card.
Guarantees / Liability Amounts and Coverages:
The Company reserves the right to apply a rental policy without a deposit in specific cases or promotional actions. In cases where a deposit is required, the own damage liability amount (excess) may be blocked at the time of vehicle collection via credit or debit card in order to cover possible damage or theft. The release of the deposit is carried out after the end of the rental, provided that all rental terms and conditions have been complied with. The release is made to the same card used at the time of collection and may take up to 14 days, depending on the issuing bank of the credit or debit card.
Payment Method:
The rental is prepaid. Payment of the rental may be made by the following methods:
• Deposit or prepayment of the full amount via credit or debit card
• Payment of the remaining amount, in the case of a deposit, in cash or by credit or debit card at the time of vehicle collection.
Traffic Tickets – Fines:
Traffic tickets and fines resulting from violations of the Road Traffic Code are borne by the Renter. The Renter additionally undertakes, where applicable, the payment of administrative handling expenses amounting to €30 per incident. With regard to the removal of license plates from the customer’s vehicle or its towing by crane, this procedure is associated with specific expenses of €150, provided that we undertake the execution of the procedure. The fine, towing expenses and storage costs are not included.
Taxes:
Prices include VAT and taxes.
Deliveries – Collections Outside Operating Hours:
A charge of €20 applies.
Deliveries – Collections Outside Stations:
Delivery and collection free of charge at Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, at our offices in Koropi. Deliveries and collections outside stations are carried out upon the customer’s request. The charge for deliveries and collections within Athens is €20, while for deliveries and collections outside Athens the cost is €30 + €1.50 per km.
Additional Driver:
The first additional driver is provided free of charge. The charge for each additional driver is €3 per day. The maximum number of drivers is set at 3 persons.
Child Seat:
The charge for a child seat is set at €3 per day upon the customer’s request and subject to the Company’s availability, with a maximum charge of €30 per rental. Child seats are installed by the renter of the vehicle under their own responsibility.
Snow Chains:
The charge for snow chains is set at €10 per day upon the customer’s request and subject to the Company’s availability, with a maximum charge of €50 per rental.
Roadside Assistance:
24-hour coverage throughout Greece.
Kilometers:
For rentals with a duration of 4 to 30 days, 2,500 free kilometers are included.
For rentals with a duration of less than 4 days, the prices include a daily limit of 150 km per day. In this latter case, if the renter wishes unlimited kilometers, they may select the unlimited kilometers package with a charge according to the applicable price list. Otherwise, each additional kilometer above 150 km/day will be charged to the customer upon return of the vehicle at a rate of €0.10 per kilometer for passenger vehicles or €0.20 per kilometer for minivans. For monthly rentals, the price includes up to 2,500 km free of charge. In the event that the renter wishes to drive more kilometers, the charge will be calculated per kilometer, in addition to the rental price.
Fuel Policy:
The renter must return the vehicle with the same fuel level as delivered.
If the renter returns the vehicle with a lower fuel level than that delivered, the renter will be charged the fuel difference plus a refueling service fee of €15. No refund will be provided if the renter returns the vehicle with more fuel than delivered.
Reservation Duration and Minimum Rental Charge:
The minimum reservation duration is one day. The minimum rental charge is one day with a return grace period of 1 hour from the pickup time. After 1 hour, the customer will be charged an additional rental day. If you wish to rent a vehicle for more than 30 days, please contact us for an offer, as the rental agreement must be renewed every 30 days. If the renter wishes to keep the vehicle for longer than the agreed period, the renter must contact the Company no later than 2 days before the scheduled return of the vehicle in order to request an extension subject to availability. The extension is valid only after the amendment of the rental agreement.
No-show or the following cases:
• You did not appear at the scheduled date and time for the vehicle pickup.
• You wished to cancel your reservation but did not notify within the 72-hour period.
• You did not provide the required documents in order to collect the vehicle.
• You did not have sufficient available balance on the credit or debit card to cover the rental amount and the vehicle deposit.
In all of the above cases, you will not be entitled to a refund of any amount paid.
Early Return of the Vehicle:
You may return the vehicle earlier than the scheduled return date of the contract; however, you will not be entitled to a refund for the period during which the vehicle was not used.
Prepaid Reservations (prepaid reservations):
For prepaid reservations, the rental amount is non-refundable.
Transport of the Vehicle Outside the Borders:
The transport and driving of the vehicle outside the borders of the Greek Territory is prohibited. Exceptionally, and only following written permission from the Company and payment of the applicable amount determined by the Company, driving the vehicle outside the borders may be permitted.
Transport of the Vehicle by Ferry:
For the transport of the vehicle by ferry, written approval from the Company is required.
Insurance Coverages
CDW – Collision Damage Waiver with excess:
By selecting the CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance, the renter’s liability for damage to the vehicle is limited up to the excess amount, which is determined according to the vehicle category as follows:
• €600.00 for categories B, BA.
• €800.00 for categories C, CA, D, S.
• €1,000.00 for categories J, JA, G, K.
• €1,500.00 for categories V, VA, L, F.
The basic CDW insurance covers only the bodywork of the vehicle; damages to the interior of the vehicle and damages or loss of additional equipment (e.g. child seats, GPS navigation device, antenna, key, etc.) are excluded. An essential condition for the waiver of liability is that the damage must not be demonstrably due to the driver’s negligence or violation of the Road Traffic Code.
FDW – Full Damage Waiver:
By selecting the FDW (Full Damage Waiver) full insurance package, the renter’s liability for damage to or theft of the rented vehicle is further limited. This protection applies only to the first incident during the rental period. In the event of damage, the renter is charged only an administrative fee from €30. FDW coverage applies only provided that the renter fully complies with the damage or accident reporting procedure, regardless of the extent of the damage or whether the vehicle was parked at the time the incident occurred. An essential condition for the waiver of liability is that the damage must not be demonstrably due to the driver’s negligence or violation of the Road Traffic Code.
Insurance Coverage Exclusions:
The vehicle’s insurance coverages, including CDW and FDW, do not apply and the renter is liable for the total amount of the damage in the event that the damage, loss or accident is caused by:
• Driving by an unauthorized driver who is not listed in the rental agreement.
• Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances.
• Violation of the Road Traffic Code.
• Use of the vehicle on non-asphalted or unauthorized roads.
• Malicious use or gross negligence of the driver.
• Failure to comply with the prescribed procedure in case of an accident.
• Loss of or damage to keys or spare keys.
• Damage to the interior of the vehicle or excessive dirt.
• Damage caused by the use of incorrect fuel.
• Damage to or loss of additional equipment (e.g. child seats).
• Loss of or damage to personal belongings located in the vehicle.
Renter’s Obligations in Case of Damage or Accident:
In the event of an accident, damage, theft or any other incident concerning the vehicle, the renter is obliged to:
• Notify the Company IMMEDIATELY.
• Call accident care, the Traffic Police or the Police (100).
• Not acknowledge any liability or third-party claim without the prior approval of the Company.
• Collect all necessary details of the incident (details of involved parties, witnesses, photographs, etc.).
• Deliver to the Company the accident report or any relevant document upon return of the vehicle.
The above procedure applies in every case of damage or incident, regardless of extent or fault, including indicatively minor damages, damage to a parked vehicle, damage caused by an unknown responsible party, scratches, impacts during parking, damages discovered after leaving the location, as well as any other wear or loss concerning the vehicle. In the event of damage to a parked vehicle, the renter is obliged to notify the Company immediately before any movement of the vehicle, unless such movement is absolutely necessary for safety reasons. Failure to comply with the above procedure entails the loss of any insurance coverage, including CDW and FDW. In the event of an accident or damage, regardless of fault, the renter is charged an administrative fee of €30 for the handling of the relevant accident file.
Vehicle Theft:
In the event of theft of the vehicle, the renter is obliged to:
• Notify the Company IMMEDIATELY.
• File a theft report with the Police (100).
• Deliver the vehicle key and the police report to the Company.
Failure to comply with the above may result in the loss of insurance coverage.
Vehicle Replacement:
In the event of replacement of the vehicle for reasons not due to a technical breakdown or malfunction of the vehicle, the transportation or delivery costs of the new vehicle shall be borne by the renter. The collection of the replacement vehicle takes place from the Company’s offices, unless otherwise agreed with an additional transportation charge.
Reservations:
Please read the rental terms & conditions in full and ensure that you will have in your possession all the necessary documents for the collection of the vehicle (e.g. driving license, identification documents passport – identity card, card with sufficient available balance). Our Company may not approve the collection of the vehicle if the customer does not meet the rental terms & conditions. By making your reservation through our website, you confirm that you have read and accept the terms & conditions of our Company. All reservations are based on vehicle groups and not on a specific car model. We try to provide the selected car model for each reservation, but in the event that the selected model is not available, our Company reserves the right to offer the customer a similar model. The similar model will be a vehicle belonging to the same group – category as the selected model. Also, our Company reserves the right to offer the customer a model of a larger group – category at no additional charge (free upgrade). If you have any questions regarding your reservation, please contact the customer service department tel. +30 210 9227100. Confirmation of your reservation will be sent to you by email. Please check whether all the details you entered are correct. You may modify your reservation up to 72 hours before the scheduled date and time of vehicle pickup, select the section “Edit Reservation” and you will be asked to enter the reservation number and the email address. Changes may result in additional charges.
Reservation Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made at least 72 hours before the scheduled rental start date and time will not incur cancellation fees and any amount you have paid will be refunded. In the event of cancellation less than 72 hours before the scheduled rental start date and time, no amount you have paid will be refunded. For the months of July and August, deposit refunds are not made.
Geolocation Application Data:
The Company has installed GPS devices in its vehicles. The system is activated in order to locate the vehicle in cases of theft, misappropriation or delayed return, provided that communication with the renter is not possible. This technology provides information for:
• Vehicle monitoring (Smart Check-in): Monitoring of use and data such as the kilometers travelled and the fuel level.
• Vehicle maintenance status.
• Management of cases of serious damage to the vehicle.
• Recording and monitoring of the Company’s vehicles for better management and reporting.
In addition, this technology is used to ensure compliance with the Road Traffic Code and to verify whether the driver is authorized under the rental agreement. If a violation of the terms or the law is identified, the Company’s insurance coverages cease to apply. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interest for the protection of property and ensuring the safe use of the vehicles.
Biological Cleaning Fees:
In the event that the vehicle is returned with dirty seats or upholstery and biological cleaning is required in order for the Company to restore it to the original condition it was in before, the renter shall be charged a cleaning cost of €100, including VAT.
Additional Charges for Loss and Damage to Vehicle Equipment:
Loss of or damage to keys, antenna, parcel shelf, lighter, additional equipment (e.g. child seats, GPS navigation device), as well as to the interior of the vehicle (e.g. upholstery, audio devices), shall be charged to the renter with the corresponding replacement or repair cost.
These Terms and Conditions constitute an integral part of the rental agreement signed at the time of vehicle collection.
